Pharaohs' Portraits

 

These Pharaohs’ portraits are formed from collaged monoprinted textured pieces. I used black oil-based ink and a stamp pad to create textures and marks on large scale paper and then I cut out shapes to form facial features. I then scanned these collages and rendered them in Photoshop. The Pharaohs are, Narmer, Djoser, Khufu, Pepi II, Mentuhotep II, Senusret II, Tao, Hatsheput, Tuthmosis III and Ramesses.
